Composition, texture and colour play major part in my work

Bio

In my landscape paintings I am seeking to translate, through form and colour, different and diverse ways to look at the earth around us, and to interpret nature in an impressionistic, semi abstract or realistic form.

Landscape is constantly changing due to the power of nature itself creating dramatic moods of light and shadow. Composition, texture and colour play major part in my work.

I prefer to work in a broad and varied range of materials of watercolour, acrylic paint, collage and mixed media.

I feel that the way in which we interpret the beauty and diversity of nature is down to each of us as individuals.

I obtained my BA Hons degree as a mature student and am a Fine Art graduate.
