John paints landscapes, working on themes such as skies, reflections, distance & rural agriculture
John Osborne paints mainly British landscape, liking to work on themes such as skies, reflections, distance and rural agricultural subjects.
He likes to work ‘on the spot’ and continually returns to favourite places, feeling he needs to know a place well in order to paint it.
Born in 1939 in Essex, he had a period of time in industry before training at the Brighton School of Art. John has had many mixed exhibitions including the Royal Academy, New English Art Club, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Society of Botanical Artists and Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour.
