Bio

Francine Brown’s design career began when she was awarded a BA Honours degree in Illustration by Wolverhampton University, prior to joining a top London design agency.

She subsequently enjoyed a variety of design roles within an ever-changing design world, adding Visual Communications and Graphic design to her skills set.

In 2000 Francine returned to her first love of painting, and has become well known locally with a waiting list for commission work.

Francine observes her subject with sensitivity and patience, determined to capture that quintessential moment when a deeper narrative reveals itself.

By delicately applying layers of watercolour pigment on a wet clay surface, Francine is able to give her paintings a vivid yet natural luminosity, a medium she finds best represents her vision.

Francine’s work is always evolving as she continually pursues new ideas and inspiration to keep her work fresh.
