Mauri's containers and jewellery explore exquisite layers of detail depth and pattern

Mauri has always been interested in science and the natural world. She currently lives on the edge of a beautiful nature reserve in Wellington, Telford. She was born in Birmingham and studied for her Degree at the iconic School of Jewellery and Silversmithing in Birmingham.
Her current collection is inspired by diatoms that she has collected and studied under her microscope. This species of plankton have a protective silica shell made from two interlocking halves that are intricately detailed with pores to filtrate nutrients.
By saw piercing silver and featuring warm glowing laser cut acrylic elements in select pieces, her containers and jewellery explore their exquisite layers of detail depth and pattern.
