Tipperleyhill exhibiting with UKArtistsonline #CAFDGG June

Creating something wholly new & original together, by improvising on one canvas in mixed media

Tipperleyhill are two artists; Abi Tippetts and Roz Berkeley-Hill who work together on each and every piece to create paintings on canvas and limited edition giclée prints.
They met whilst working together at a textile design studio in New York and grew to discover a mutual love of colour, pattern, illustration and the arts.
On returning to England to have their families, they worked out a plan that would enable them to explore their creativity and to see each other more frequently. Abi is based in Leicester and Roz in London.
If they can’t work in each other’s studios, they post pieces to each other in a sort of ‘art consequences’. It is easiest to observe in their ‘animals in shirts’ series of prints. Abi paints the animals and Roz ‘fits their shirts’ by adding colour and pattern to their clothes.
Their passion is to paint contemporary landscapes and abstract florals together and these they have nicknamed their ‘artjam’ sessions. Roz and Abi compare what they do to how musicians ‘jam’.
They create something wholly new and original together, by improvising on one canvas in mixed media including oils, inks, acrylics, watercolour pencil and even collage.
