About the Event
An exciting and eclectic Arts Festival giving you an opportunity to discover a wealth of artisanal work
The CONTEMPORARY ARTS FESTIVAL DISCOVER: GATHER: GIVE is an exciting, lively and eclectic gem of an arts festival. We have gathered together the very best artisanal work where every piece is produced by the artists.
It is an opportunity to:
Discover inspiring, challenging, calming, emotional, evolving artwork to make you look again
Gather together works to buy on the day or commission directly from the attending artists
Give, donate, collect, curate with simple pleasure for your clients, yourself and your passion
After the successful introduction of a Summer CONTEMPORARY ARTS FESTIVAL DISCOVER: GATHER: GIVE in June 2018 we have decided to hold two Festivals annually over the first weekend in June and the first week of November, each with its own distinctive feel.
The Summer CONTEMPORARY ARTS FESTIVAL DISCOVER: GATHER: GIVE will take place in 2019 May 31st for the Private View with 1st and 2nd June Open to the Public with other events taking place and the Winter CONTEMPORARY ARTS FESTIVAL DISCOVER: GATHER: GIVE in November 1st for the Private View, 2nd and 3rd Open to the Public will be exclusively based in the Town Hall.
As a visitor you will have the luxury of two opportunities to buy – the first is on the day where you can discover the interesting and inspiring artists, then gather beautiful pieces together to buy immediately; the second is commissioning unique and inspiring gifts from the attending artists, especially from our November CONTEMPORARY ARTS FESTIVAL DISCOVER: GATHER: GIVE in perfect time for Christmas. By holding the event early in the Christmas season, it allows sufficient time for commissions to be completed ready to be given with simple pleasure at Christmas or whenever you want…
There will be the glorious Golden Cup Café selling tea, coffee, delicious homemade cakes for you to relax in and ponder over which beautiful and inspiring pieces of work to buy – and for whom!
It is free entry or with donations to Shakespeare’s Puppies Appeal (Guide Dogs for the Blind Registered Charity 209617) if you wish.
