My review of June 2018
Our first Summer Fair in June was a great success, and even the sun shone for the weekend filling the historic Town Hall with both visitors and locals alike.
Our first Summer Fair in June was a great success, and even the sun shone for the weekend filling the historic Town Hall with both visitors and locals alike.
As it was a new Fair I was able to curate an eclectic mix of local artists as well as artists from all over the country. It was a great mix and the quality and breadth of work was exceptional, with something for everyone.
The sun shone over the entire weekend and the Town Hall looked glorious with its chandeliers and mirrors reflecting the light around the ballroom, plus the Golden Cup Cafe sparkled in the sumptuous Ante-room upstairs.
The glass artists Kat Christou and Charlotte Wilkinson’s work sung out rainbow colours by the window and the paintings had added depth and texture as the daylight faded. Milik, Nadege Honey and Jane Moore’s jewellery sparkled and Jo Verity’s decoupage work took on new depth of colours on her incredible skulls and object d’art.
The weekend felt as though it was over in a glorious flash for me as there was a constant flow of visitors; with new patrons saying hello, artists talking together and networking, the cafe humming with chatting patrons and the welcoming atmosphere to one and all.
I am reviewing, planning, and getting ready for #Cafdgg November 2018 2nd November for the private View and 3rd to 4th Open to the Public – so pop the dates in your diary now….
