Wildlife especially feathered friends, inspire Alix to create contemporary linocuts and drawings
Nature and wildlife around Alix, especially feathered friends, inspire her to create contemporary linocuts and detailed drawings. Her print studio is either her kitchen or back room, hand printing each image with her trusty metal spoon!
Many of her linocuts are available only as limited edition print runs. She also enjoys blogging the process behind making her linocut prints and drawings which can be found on her website along with further images of her work and commissions she has undertaken.
Alix’s drawings are created using pencil crayons and pen.
Alix teaches a range of linocut workshop at Bonds Lifestyle and Sew Me Something – both venues are found near Stratford-upon-Avon. The workshops are suitable for beginners or those with some experience of linocut. Please visit www.alixalmond.com to find out more.
